On Wednesday, October 10, 2018, a large delegate from Thailand visited the Western Growers Center for Innovation & Technology in Salinas, CA.
Dennis Donohue introduced the International MBA program from Bangkok’s Thammasat Business School to the Center and Western Growers Family of Companies. During his formal presentation, Donohue discussed numerous topics relating to agriculture and technology. Topics included Western Growers as a unique trade group, the large percentage of agtech focused on production agriculture, and how the ag marketplace works in the United States. Production agriculture is of prime interest to the domestic market because of the labor shortage and of the stresses on natural resources. The delegate from Thailand is one of many international visitors the WGCIT typically hosts. The Center is dedicated to building a global brand, events such as this expand the global reach of the Center, as well as the the attending WGCIT innovators.
