The Global Specialty Crop Biological Platform

Platform10 emerged from the 2023 Salinas Biological Summit which saw stakeholders from a wide range of the specialty crop industry, (outside the US, defined as vegetables, fruits, nuts & organics), meet and discuss the rapidly emerging landscape for biological products.

As regulators around the world set increasingly formal timelines for the removal of named chemical pesticides from agricultural production, the need to find alternative inputs to manage plant disease and pests has become much more urgent. 

The consensus amongst those attending the Summit was that to enhance grower confidence, understanding and adoption of biological alternatives, growers had to be at the center of the biological innovation story. Platform10 was born.
