Grower Trial Network Washington State Event

On July 8, the Western Grower Center for Innovation & Technology (WGCIT) held our first Grower Trial Network (GTN) with the growers from the Washington Tree Fruit Research Commission. Eleven agtech startups from the WGCIT pitched their solutions to a panel of approximately ten farmers in the State of Washington. This was an opportunity offered exclusively to the WGCIT members.
Washington growers were interested in learning more about the technologies coming out of the WGCIT; they also wanted to share their pain points with our innovators. Dennis Donohue, director of the WGCIT, emceed the virtual pitch sessions. The WGCIT will serve as the liaison between the agtech startups and the Washington farmers that want a personal follow-up introduction. The two-hour virtual session was not recorded, to allow for privacy during pitches, but we may record future GTN events if there is interest from growers that cannot attend live.

Thank you to all the growers that participated from the Washington Tree Fruit Research Commission and to Ines Hanrahan for all of her support organizing this first Washington GTN.
